The Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) bridges the gap between policy discussions and implementation and action on the ground on women, peace and security issues. Their work focuses on four core areas: Local implementation of Resolutions 1325 and 1820; Developing local capacities towards the development and implementation of National Action Plans on Resolution 1325; Supporting local partners in their efforts to monitor the implementation on Resolution 1325, and; Strengthening media outreach capacities on Resolution 1325.
IREX promotes positive lasting change globally. IREX enablea local individuals and institutions to build key elements of a vibrant society: quality education, independent media, and strong communities. To strengthen these sectors, our program activities also include conflict resolution, technology for development, gender and youth.
The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation supports more than 100 women’s organisations in five regions affected by conflict: Central and Western Africa, the Middle East, the South Caucasus and the Western Balkans, to increase women’s power and influence, which is a prerequisite to achieve sustainable peace.
UNMIL is helping to level the playing field for women's participation in Liberia’s Governance by supportin the participation of women in conflict prevention, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, including in decision-making roles in post-conflict governance institutions - both appointed and elected - in Liberia.
